What is Backona AI?
Backona AI is an AI-powered chat tool that lets you analyse your Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console data by simply asking questions in plain English.
What access level do I need to use these tools with Backona AI?
You only need read-only access level. Your Google account must have at least Viewer permissions on the GA4 property you want to analyse.
How do I sign up and log in to Backona AI?
Simply sign in with your Google account that has view rights to the Analytics property you want to connect. This one-step integration makes it easy to get started quickly with Backona AI.
Can I use SSO or other login methods?
Currently, we only support Google Sign-In for secure access. If you have Google Workspace email account it will work like SSO.
Do I need a Google account to use Backona AI?
Yes, Backona AI uses your Google account to securely access your Google Analytics 4 data. It's the only way we can fetch and analyse your website data.
Do I need all three tools (GA4, GSC, Google Ads) active to use Backona AI?
You do not need all the 3 integrations altogether, however to effectively use the tool you would need at least one configuration active (Google Account added to Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console or Google Ads).
Which Google account should I use for GA4 access?
Use the Google account that has direct access (at least View permissions) to the GA4 properties you want to analyse.
Can I switch Google accounts?
Yes, you can switch accounts, but each Backona AI account is tied to a single Google account at a time.
Can I use multiple Google accounts with one Backona AI account?
No, each Backona AI account is tied to a single Google account. If you need to analyse data from multiple accounts, purchase separate accounts or consolidate access under one Google account.
Can I analyse data from multiple websites on one Backona AI account?
Yes, you can switch but only one at the time. Make sure to update the information in the settings and that you have access to all these GA4 accounts.
What data sources can I connect with Backona AI?
Currently, Backona AI supports Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and Google Ads. Our internal SEO analyst tool integration is coming soon.
Can non-technical users benefit from Backona AI?
Absolutely. Backona AI translates complex data into clear, understandable insights, making it accessible for non-technical team members. With a conversational interface, you can easily interact with your data without needing technical expertise.
How many messages can I send per month?
It depends on your plan (Tier 1–4). Each plan has a set number of messages per month, which resets monthly. You can check your plan in the settings.
When do my messages limit reset?
Messages reset every 30 days from the date of activation.
What exactly counts as a "message"?
A "message" is counted each time you send a query to the AI. Only your inputs count toward your monthly limit — AI responses do not count as messages.
Do unused messages carry over to the next month?
No. Unused messages do not roll over.
What happens when I hit my monthly limit?
Once you reach your monthly message limit, you won't be able to send new queries until your messages reset. Or you can upgrade your account in your settings or by contacting support.

Will upgrading reset my message usage or date?
The monthly message limit will increase, to allow sending more messages on top of what you already have sent in the current period. Neither the messages used nor the plan reset date will change.
Can I add more messages if I run out?
You can upgrade to the higher plan with more messages to increase available limit for the current period.
What are user seats?
User seats are the number of individual users who can access Backona AI under your plan and commonly use your credit limit. Each seat allows one Google account to log in and use the chat.
How many users can I add based on my plan?
- Tier 1 = 1 user
- Tier 2 = 1 user
- Tier 3 = 3 users
- Tier 4 = 6 users
Is there a "main"/admin account that controls everything?
Yes, the one who makes the purchase. They can add or remove other users and can add new Google accounts even after initial setup by removing old ones.
Is there a difference between an admin and a regular user?
Yes, regular users cannot add or remove other users.
How are additional users added?
They are invited by email invitation from the admin. This is the only way.
Can I reassign a seat to another user?
Yes, through deleting the old one and adding a new one.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime through the Control Panel under "Manage Account." Your account will remain active until the end of your billing period.
Can I get a refund?
For AppSumo users: Refunds are handled directly by the AppSumo team. For regular users: We handle refunds on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our support team at [email protected].
Do I need to pay anything else in the future? (AppSumo users)
No, your lifetime deal covers everything included in your plan. You'll only need to pay in the future if you choose to upgrade or access new premium features we may launch later.
If I bought multiple codes on AppSumo, can I stack them?
No. Backona AI does not support code stacking. Each code corresponds to a specific tier, and multiple codes cannot be combined for additional seats or messages.

Backona AI offers several plans: Tier 1-4 for AppSumo users, and Nano, Micro, Macro, and Quantum for regular users. Can I combine a lifetime deal with a monthly Stripe subscription?
Currently it is not possible to combine 2 types of subscriptions. Activating AppSumo one you will get messages limits in accordance to the AppSumo Tier's plan.
Can I use multiple AppSumo subscriptions for one Backona AI account?
No, the rule is one account (Google login) one AppSumo or other subscription.
How Many Messages Can I Send Per Month?
It depends on your AppSumo tier (Tier 1–4). Each plan has a set number of messages per month, which resets monthly. You can check your plan in the settings.
What emails do I receive after purchase?
After purchasing on AppSumo, you'll receive a welcome email from AppSumo.
What happens if I forget to activate my AppSumo deal or lose the link?
Please contact App Sumo support directly as we have no control over the AppSumo purchases.
Is there a time limit to redeem the AppSumo deal after purchase?
Yes, AppSumo deals have a time limit for redemption after purchase. Generally, you have a 60-day window to redeem your purchase, which includes the refund period. After this period, you will not be able to redeem the code or activate the license.
How do I sign up and log in to Backona AI with AppSumo?
- Click the activation link from your AppSumo email
- Sign in using your Google account linked to your Google Analytics 4 and/or Search Console data
- Grant the necessary permissions
- Configure your settings (Select Account Name, Website Config Name, Website URL, Select Property Name/ID)
- You're in! You can now start chatting with Backona AI and analysing your data
Can I add additional messages to my plan when I use all available messages?
You can upgrade to the higher plan with more messages to increase available limit for the current period.

You should ask your website administrator to add your Google Account email address to the tool configuration. There is only read-only access level required.
The answers I get from Backona AI are low quality. What can I do?
The quality of the answers is strongly related to the events, data gathering precision and integrated tools configuration quality. Please ensure that you have all the setup correctly implemented for the website you would like to track.
Can I Use Multiple Google Accounts with One Backona AI Account?

I Signed Up with the Wrong Google Account. Can I Switch?
Yes, you can switch accounts, but each Backona AI account is tied to a single Google account at a time.
Why Can't I See Any Accounts or Properties in Backona AI?
This could be due to several reasons:
- You may be logged into the wrong Google account
- Your account might not have access to the Google Analytics property/Search Console
- The Google Analytics property might not have any data
- Permissions may not be correctly set in Google Analytics
- You need to set up Google Analytics 4 or Search Console first and ensure they are actively collecting data
What are the exact GA4 permissions needed for the tool to work?
Your Google account must have at least Viewer permissions on the GA4 property you want to analyse. Without this, Backona AI can't access the data.
How do I get access to a client's GA4 property?
Ask the owner of the GA4 property to add your Google email to their GA4 property in the Admin settings. They can assign you at least as a Viewer for the specific property.
Does Backona AI support Universal Analytics?
No, Backona AI only supports Google Analytics 4.
I asked AI and it said it has no data about my question. What does this mean?
This may mean that your Google Analytics does not collect this data. You need to set it up first in Google Analytics.
What happens if a user loses access to their Google account?
You must use Google's password reset procedure to regain access to your Google account.
Can users under the same plan see each other's queries or data?
No. Each user's queries/conversations and data access are private. Users can only see data from the GA4 properties their Google account has access to.
Can admins set permissions or restrict GA4 property access?
No. GA4 property access is controlled in Google Analytics itself. Backona AI respects the permissions already set in GA4 and doesn't offer additional access controls.
Do all users (multi-seat) have access to all GA4 properties linked to the main account?
No, besides inviting people to Backona AI, you must also invite them separately to the GA4 property in Google Analytics.
Can I restrict certain GA4 properties from specific users?
No, this cannot be done in Backona AI. This must be configured in Google Analytics.
